Ways of learning
The student must learn by the "apprenticeship" method, by doing those things which he is directed to do and learning by applying the methods and then examining the results of his work. The student must go out of his way to find opportunities to test his skills as they are acquired, in as many situations as he can create. The tutors will not FILL UP the student with knowledge but will guide and direct her to acquire the understanding necessary to make a good practitioner. The successful student is, thus,
--a seeker after truth
--self-motivated
--positive of mind
--not the type to wait for things to happen
-the type who will grasp every opportunity that occurs with both hands
--one who will see the necessity for total personal involvement
The course is not for those who see themselves as sitting in the corner waiting for the next bit of information or the next “ handy tip”. Note takers will not learn how to do this amazing therapy.
The course propels the student into the unknown so that she might discover for herself what works; a questioning mind is vital. It soon becomes apparent that each patient is new territory, even though the condition discovered by the practitioner seems much the same as with many others--the person is unique and needs a unique solution and it is this aspect particularly which commands the deepest respect from the patient--and it is this facet which makes the work tiring and immensely rewarding.!
